  12. First of all, thank you to all the people that wrote or posted to give
  13. advice on my problem.

  15. The problem turned out to be terminating packs on my orginal Quantum 240
  16. drive. Yea, I know this is a stupid thing to miss, but I made the mistake
  17. of trusting the manual. Right there on page 14 it says "Note that GVP
  18. removes all terminating resistor packs on hard drives that are installed
  19. by us, and that removing them is not necessary." So finally after trying
  20. everything else I disassembled my controller to get to the drive and there
  21. on the bottom of the drive were three terminating packs. After removing
  22. them everything works fine.

  24. On a related subject, while working on this problem I heard/read several
  25. references to a GURUROM for GVP products. What does this do and do I need
  26. one for future expansion.
